My passion for photography began when I was given a camera by a friend of the family when I was 16. Many years later I graduated from the University of Derby with a 2:1 BA Hons in Photography. I had begun Shooting for local promoters at University photographing many live acts and club nights something I still pursue today. Since returning to London my first job was as a Studio Assistant at Metro Studios in Clerkenwell where I soon progressed to a Digital Assistant. I stayed for the following 18 months giving me great professional experience with big fashion, advertising and music clients in the studio or on location. Since departing I have been commissioned to shoot for a diverse range of clients myself from newspapers, music magazines to corporate and fashion companies. Today I mainly shoot news and current affairs and I enjoy incorporating and portraying real people with real tales to tell. In 2005 I was highly commended in The Independent for my series on the Iraqi elections held in Wembley. I am comfortable working in the studio with lighting set ups or on location, I usually shoot digitally but am flexible to do whatever the job demands, I live and work in East London.
