The new landscape and surroundings have inspired me since arriving earlier this year with my family. I initially found myself drawn towards photographing the estuary and pier with its engaging and transformative landscape and the dramatic light coming in off the estuary. I have always been fascinated in photographing the English seaside, the atmosphere of the combination of entertainment, industrial and coastal life has intrigued me and now living in one, I get to see the daily reality of how our seaside town lives and breathes. This series is about exploring my interaction with my new home, embracing both the rugged beauty and day-to-day reality encountered being here out of season, exploring the everyday and at times the extraordinary.
